Atlanta, GA--  This is the last week to submit your essay for a chance to win!

The Atlanta Hawks have announced that entries are now being accepted for the “Why Bully Free Is The Way To Be” Essay Contest.  The contest is part of the Hawks’ Read to Achieve program sponsored by Philips.

One Grand Prize Winner will be picked up by a limousine for a ride to school with Al Horford, and have the Hawks center visit his or her classroom.  The winner will also receive four tickets to the Hawks’ Read to Achieve Night game against the New York Knicks on March 6 (6 p.m. tipoff), along with additional prizes.  Five runners-up will receive four tickets to the game.

The contest is open to all area elementary school students in kindergarten through fifth grade.  Students are asked to submit a 350-1000 word essay (typed and double-spaced), telling Horford about their thoughts regarding bullying, postmarked by January 21, 2011.  Entries will be judged on creativity, grammar, content and overall impression.
