Eric Matthews, former NFL Star of the Green bay Packers, is preparing for his 3rd Annual Eric Matthews Red & Black Christmas Affair, which his Eric Matthews Youth Foundation collects Christmas toys and coats for under privileged families.

Each year the Indiana University alum hosts this event he partners with a local charity to benefit their organization. For the second year in a row they are partnering with legendary foundation Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless

They collect new toys and coats for under privileged children and families serviced by the organization. Last year they collected over 325 toys and coats at the party, which went toward providing over 2,000 families with toys and coats at the Hosea Feed the Hungry & Homeless Christmas Dinner.

The event will be held at a private mansion in Southwest Atlanta on Cascade Rd. this Friday, December 17th from 8:00pm to 1:00am.  The tickets are $30.00 each and all of the monies from tickets sold will go towards the purchasing of toys and coats for children. Shuttle service will be provided by Enterprise Rent-A-Car due to limited on-site parking at the mansion.

All tickets must be purchased in advance by contacting the Eric Matthews Youth Foundation at 404-552-8838.

The event was a great success last year and Matthews was supported by several of his celebrity and pro athlete friends. That included Olympic Gold Medalists Angelo Taylor and Justin Gatlin, as well as Matthews Super Bowl teammate and former Packer Running Back Dorsey Levens.

This year is no different and several of his celebrity friends have already confirmed their attendance and/or support, including WNBA star Chamique Holdsclaw, actors Afemo and Elizabeth Omilami who are actually Executive Directors and Board Members of Hosea Feed the  Hungry and Homeless and others.
