Is your teen the next great filmmaker? | NBAF and Turner host 2nd Annual First Glance competition

ATLANTA -- The National Black Arts Festival and Turner Broadcasting System have teamed up for the second time to hold the 2nd Annual First Glance: Fresh Perspectives from Young Artists Teen Arts Competition, in which they search for the teen artists between the ages of 14-18 in five categories including, Digital/Media Arts, Film, Script Writing, Spoken Word/Voice Over and Music Composition.

First Glance is the perfect opportunity for high school students interested in pursuing a career in Film, Music, Television and other parallel disciplines to experience the excitement and the dedication needed to succeed in the industry.

“The talent along with the level of excitement, passion and creativity that we continue to see from the young people who compete in our First Glance competition underlines the vital role that the arts play in the community as a whole and certainly in the lives of young people,” shares Dr. Michael Simanga, Executive Director of NBAF. “It is critical that we continue to partner with organizations such as Turner Broadcasting to provide creative platforms that afford young people the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents for the entire world to see.”
