ATLANTA --  Street Smart Youth Project is a neighborhood focused initiative that provides a safe zone for youths that live within the 30311, 30318, and 30331 zip codes.  This new program is based within the English Park Recreation Center and has the recent support of parents who feel invigorated after winning some of the battles against the school board to keep their local schools open.

“We believe that if we can win the fight against the Board of Education to keep our schools open, we can win the fight against poverty, drugs and alcohol and reclaim our community!”‐Town Elementary Parent/Community Member.
To kick‐start the initiative, the Street Smart Youth Project teams up with Dr. Augustus Walker from the Greater Elizabeth Bible Church to host the Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, April 19th. Dr. Walker was instrumental in keeping Towns Elementary open. His passion for community organizing and re‐building is why he believes that the Street Smart Youth Project’s campaign is an excellent partnership!
The meeting is tonight, April 19 at 6pm and will be held at the Great Elizabeth Bible Church which is located at 745 Bolton Road, Atlanta, GA 30318.
Light refreshments will be served. It is at this meeting that we hope to engage citizens about incorporating a comprehensive approach to develop and implement sustainable change.
