ATLANTA -- Every morning, 11Alive encourages the community to do something nice for others with a Random Act of Kindness. 

Wednesday's Random Act is for Diane Williamson from Atlanta, who was nominated by her co-workers. 

For 36 years, Diane has dedicated her life to helping senior adults. Even though it's a part of her job, she goes above and beyond what's expected of her. From delivering food to organizing outreach programs, Diane is a devoted advocate to all seniors in her community.  

With the help of Home Depot, 11Alive was able to honor Diane for her continuous acts of kindness.

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. -- The Fulton County faith community is invited to join Fulton County Health and Human Services to discuss chronic disease issues in a joint effort to define opportunities to address health issues and identify policies and practices that can effectively decrease the impact of chronic diseases in our communities. Fulton County Youth Commissioners to distribute care boxes to citizens living on the streets

ATLANTA -- Fulton County Youth Commissioners will take to the streets of Atlanta and Fulton to distribute H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Everyday) Boxes on Saturday, Mar. 23 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.  Youth Commissioners will assemble at the Fulton County Government Center starting at 8 a.m. and distribute H.O.P.E Boxes to locations used by the homeless, primarily in District 5. 

The primary purpose of the H.O.P.E. Box initiative is to disseminate information regarding sources for assistance in low-income areas throughout Fulton County. Each box includes a H.O.P.E. resource card, which highlights County services.  Information is provided regarding how  and where to find shelter, rehabilitation, health services, employment search assistance and other programs offered by Fulton County and collaborating organizations that are designed to help homeless citizens to achieve stability and an improved quality of life.
