UPDATE: 02/21/12

A couple weeks before Christmas, drivers on M.L.K. Drive in South Atlanta received a terrible surprise when a rain-filled pothole damaged more than a half dozen vehicles. Commuter Dude rushed to the scene and was able to get D.O.T. crews out to fix the hole in about an hour. But the financial damage incurred by drivers, would take Dude a little longer to repair.

Southside commuters woke up to a nightmare Wednesday morning after a giant car-damaging pothole caused A.P.D. to close down a lane of busy M.L.K. Jr. Drive at I-285. But as bad as the delays were for drivers, people who hit the hole before the lane closure experienced much worse. Christine Sims blew a tire and says at one point, six other drivers pulled off along the side of the road with car damage. When Commuter Dude arrived on scene, A.P.D. hadn't been able to reach D.O.T. crews, so Dude made a call and got the ball rolling. Then he set out to help drivers with damaged cars get their money back.
