135th Agency calls into Riot Radio to discuss recent projects & reveals new roster of A-list clients

From the elite Atlanta Think Like A Man red carpet premiere to WE TV's most popular shows, 135th Agency is tackling it all. Spelman graduate and managing partner Saptosa Foster called into Riot Radio to announce their recent advancements. With the recent success of Think Like A Man, 135th Agency is now the exclusive public relations firm to major shows such as Mary Mary, Kendra On Top, The Braxton Family Values and film releases The Avengers and Sparkle. Covering events from LA, ATL, NY and Miami, Saptosa spoke about her drive which began in Atlanta at as a writer in the marketing department at Bad Boy Records.  Saptosa went on to graduate Cum Laude from Spelman in 1998 and from there began her career in the entertainment industry. Duffle Bagz Ent Dolla Boy talks about newest project on Riot Radio

This week while on the set at 2Chainz video shoot, Atlanta's Dolla Boy (Duffle Bagz Ent and 1/2 of the group Playa Circle) called into Riot Radio to discuss his recent project, 2K Hustla and debut his single "Ball". Recently his schedule has been packed with listening sessions, video shoots and shows across the United States as he prepares for his newest release. Dolla Boy, internationally known for the single "Duffle Bag Boys" featuring Lil Wayne and band member 2Chainz says his fellow Atliens such as Goodie Mob and Outkast paved the way for artists such as himself. He spoke about certain higlights in his career including performing the first time at the BET Awards to stages collapsing while on tour. With recognizing that the music industry has changed, he says the climate for independent artists to take off is likely.

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- Each member of the Fulton County Board of Education sponsors a monthly meeting open to all members of the community.

The sessions provide an opportunity for direct contact with community members and give board members a chance to listen to local issues and concerns.

APD appoints LGBT liaison

APD appoints LGBT liaison

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Police Department has named a new LGBT liaison officer to serve the department.

Officer Kristin Knight was appointed to her position last week by Chief George Turner.

"I'm looking forward to this wonderful and challenging opportunity to serve as a link between the LGBT community and the brave men and women of the Atlanta Police Department," Knight said after she was appointed. "As a proud member of both the gay community and the APD, I will take great pride and care in ensuring we continue our mutual respect and understanding."

Knight joined APD in 2005, working as a patrol officer downtown and in Midtown. Last year, the Connecticut native joined the Community Liaison Unit. She originally moved south to attend Clark Atlanta University and is now completing her bachelor's degree in criminal justice at Saint Leo University.

Atlanta Braves recognize that you’re “Never too Old to Play” through the donation of 200 tickets to Fulton County Senior Multipurpose Facilities

The month of May is when the nation honors older Americans and the theme for 2012 —Never Too Old to Play!— recognizes the value that older adults continue to bring to our communities through spirited participation in social and faith groups, service organizations, and other activities. Throughout May, Fulton County will shine the spotlight on the important role older adults play in our community.  The celebration officially begins May 2, when the Fulton County Board of Commissioners issues a proclamation honoring senior adults living in Fulton County.

22 APS students win Gates Millennium Scholarship

ATLANTA -- Atlanta Public Schools can now boast the third-highest number of 2012 Gates Millennium Scholarship winners in the United States.

The prestigious scholarship covers tuition, room and board for any major at any university. Only 1,000 students in the country receive the honor every year.
